Smoke
wtf man this car makin me lose my mind
so im drivin today and it was all good beat a couple of caprices :D and tonight when i let my brother(mustang man) drive it starts misfiring and **** and he like yo car cant beat a sebring so i get home and check the oil and smoke starts coming out of the hole for the dipstick. we rigged the oil filter on the fitting part by basically super gluein it on to stop it from leakin could this oil filter adapter part be the reason for oil burnin inside and misfirin? someone please help me |
RE: Smoke
You super glued your oil filter on? No, this wont cause a misfire, or burnt oil. Is there too much oil in the pan, that will cause it to smoke. The crank journals can splash oil on your cylinder walls and cause it to burn off. A misfire? IDK.

RE: Smoke
its not too much
idk wat this mirfirin is ima check my wire connections can boot protectors stop a misfire? |
RE: Smoke
Check your oil to see if it is disclored like say a tint of green or smells burnt. If it looks like it has water or something in it you blew a headgasket. The misfire might be your 02 sensors its happened to my car twice and both times it was the 02 sensors replaced it and everything has been good ever since.

RE: Smoke
Your car has constantly had problems. Why race around in it? That will only make what problems you do have get even worse.

RE: Smoke
the problems go away and come back they go away for a couple of weeks like i fixed them ima check my o2 sensors
