Series 2 Throttle Body
Most of my experience has been with Ford motors but I'm trying to help out my son fix his car and need some help.
Can someone post a pic of a 3.8 series 2 thottle body? We ordered a TPS for his'99 and it is nothing like the one on the car. He's the 3rd owner so there's no way of telling who did what previously. There are also some pop-rivets used to hold the existing TPS onto the thottle body and the blank plate on the other side. Was this normal for GM engines?
Thanks.

RE: Series 2 Throttle Body
After reading about it a bit, the TPS is part of the Drive By Wire (DBW). DBW is what the v6 camaro went to in 1999. What they may have gave you was a TPS for the older cable controlled throttle body.

Ya, just drill them out. And anything electronic, such as the TPS sensor, can go bad. To be totally honest, I have the TPS F.B.W on my 99. I hate it. I dislike the fact that I cant rev the engine from under the hood. So vaccume tests and other crap you used to be able to do, now needs the help of others.
