Security preventing ignition trouble

I own 95 Camaro with a 3.4 v6. One day I had starting trouble with the car and i came to the forum sight to get an idea of what might be going on. The car would fire but not run. I tried to fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, OHV control valve, fuel pressure regulator. nothing worked. Turns out it was an ignition switch. My brother was able to have the car running by holding the key over. So my friend installed a new ignition switch. But now the security light is on and the car wont even fire. The part store referred me to the dealer. Two different dealers gave me way different answers. I read maybe try to bypass the security with a PLJX bypass kit. NOTE I did not change the ignition cylinder (the key cylinder) and thus did not receive a new key.. it was just the ignition switch down on the steering column about a foot from the key cylinder. If anybody has any idea, please help!

Check out this link.

Also, might want to look to see if any wires at the bottom of the steering column is unplugged. Ohm out your key with a ohm meter to make sure the chip is good. Could be something as simple as the key going bad or key cylinder wear.
