Default Seatbelt won't Roll Up

My driver side seatbelt will not roll back up into its casing. I've read some posts and it seems that I might need to replace the spring loaded coil. Does anyone have any suggestions on a guide or where I can buy the parts? a part number? My car is a 97 camaro convertible v6 3.8 by the way.

Thanks

Does it retract some, but not all the way up? The spring just gets tired from age and use. You can remove the retractor, after dropping the interior panel down. Then pop off (slightly) the side cover where the wind-up spring (flat coiled spring steel) is and give it a few more turns in the direction of how the belt winds up. I've done this a few times on old cars, so be careful and lift the spring cover just enough to clear the tabs from the mounting holes and hang onto it, or you'll end up with a face full of spring.

Are there any guides that show removing the interior panels and side covers?
