Which Scanner do i need
 

Hey all,

I have a 96 3.8 v6, i'm in Ireland so scan tools are hard to find, Which one do i need, the connector is 16 pin type with pins 2,4,5,6 9 and 16 occupied.

You will need a OBD 2 scanner, check out summit.com, also autozone.com has one.......SFC

Thanks for That,

I have obtained an ELM327, i have a few programs which report no DTC error when the MIL lamp is flashing, if i clear codes it stops but starts again after a minute or so. Should Lamp be constant? in order to get an error?

Flashing MIL light is "usually" an indication of misfire.
