flouded engine

Default flouded engine

drove through some water and i think it got sucked into my cold air intake and the car starts and then shuts right off. what should i do?

Try to dry out all ignition parts first. There is a special spray available at your local parts store. Hopefully, the engine did not swallow much water, otherwise hydrolock and broken parts is a possibility. Next time drive around deep water.

you know i can't blame them for going throw the water i like to see how big a wave i can make too.

If you think you may have sucked up some water, it would be smart to remove the spark plugs, and crank the engine over to blow it clean. Then before starting the engine again, remove the intake hose from the T.B. just in case your air cleaner is water soaked. Check to see if it is soaked.
