The sensor that connects to the Coolant Temp Sending Unit. How many wires are supposed to come out of it? 1 or 2? For some reason it has been driving me crazy while working on my car. Mine only has 1 wire and every other sensor has 2. I have tried to google it and I can't come up with anything. Just trying to dismiss everything I can on why my fan does not come on. Chevy wants $180.00 just to look at it and I'm not ready to fork it over to them just yet.

You are probably looking at the sending unit for the temp gage. The ECT has 2 wires Yellow & Black/Pink. The sending unit for the temp gage uses a single green wire
