Possible Engines for swap? (not your typical swap question)

Ok, the vh45 swap into a 240 isn't brand new, its been done quite a few times, there are writeups for it all over the net, while it doesn't get done a LOT, it still has been done a few times
How to swap a VH45 into a Nissan 240sx
the problem with swapping different motors in a 4th gen camaro, as has been said already is engine bay room. Because of the wiper cowl on these cars, you have to put the engine under the cowl (or cut it out like I did). Either way, its not going to be easy

And yea, it wouldnt be easy. Id still be measuring everything up first. Although it seems like its going to be more difficult than I originally had thought. So I might just stick with building up the 207. Building up something weak into something strong is more respectable to me anyhow. Im just also one for experimenting.

Thank you. And no, its an auto. I got the lowest of the low in camaros but thats why Im out to prove it is still a camaro and can prove to be just as good of a competitor as any other camaro.

You've got a great attitude and I'm the same kind of person when it comes to doing something that is frowned upon(like rattle canning my jbody) I expect that car to look great by the time your done. While in class I actually made out a build list for my v6 to help me stay awake

There have been people who swap 2JZ-GTE's into S13s, S14s, Tacomas, Chevy S10s, 1967 Camaro, 1981 Firebird, Mustangs, SC300s, BMW e30s, BMW e36s, BMW e39s, S2000s, G35s, the list is frickin endless. Please put one in a 4th Gen, please.
But seriously, Is it practical and worth-your-while?...well I guess we will leave that up to you.

well i think it would be better off for you to build the 3.4 up.
im either gonna build mine up or im just gonna wait and upgrade to a z28 idk yet...anybody know pros and cons to building the 3.4 up or what my expenses may be(no im not going crazy on it prolly a bigger cam with a fresh rebuild at most) compared to tryin to find a decent z28 that is under $5k?
if i get a z28 then im gonna end up swapping in a bigger cam in it anyways just like the v6

You can find a decent Z28 for under $5k. It would cost you more to make the 3.4 as fast as a Z28. But you can do a bit with the 3.4 under the cost of a Z28, it just won't be as fast. Head swap on the 3.4 is about the easiest way to get more power. Check out Socum's build thread.

Socom is the guy you wanna talk to about that.

Ok so the Subaru boxer engine doesn't require you to run awd. You can run it just rwd. Now I think you should skip all that and pick up either a duramax probably won't fit or a small 4 banger caterpillar motor ( power houses for there size) and make a twin turbo diesel outta your camaro. It's been done in the gen 1 camaros but have heard of a gen 4 diesel build yet.
