does anyone know how much hp i can gain by porting out the heads?

 

Depends on how ported they are, what kind of cam, what kind of intake/exhaust setup you have.

 

you cant expect to gain anything if the rest of the motor isnt built to handle the extra flow. you will need full boltons and a good NA cam before you should consider a head port

 

xp hot cam, i have some custom dual cold air intake (i saw it at O'reilys) , dual exhaust , pacesetter headers , valve springs , Diamond racingForged pistons Kit ,posi system , v8 rear end and 75 shot of Nitrous oxide .

 

you could probably net a good amount of power then from a good port job. it may be in your best interest to find some place that trades your stock heads as cores and gives you refurbished ported ones at a cheaper cost.
