Not getting fuel
When my car was on the dyno we had noticed a knock around 4000 rpms. It will not get fuel past 4k rpms. what could be the cause of this? on the upside it made 135 rwhp at 3000 rpms it is a 1997 chevy camaro with the 3800 engine. stock injectors and the entire valve train has been replaced with comp cams parts such as the cam, lifters, springs and pushrods.

fuel flow is being effected by something. pump, filter, injectors, leak, damaged tube/hose or sensor.

You shouldn't be hearing octane knock, as long as your knock sensor is hooked up and working. But is it? How do you know it's not getting fuel past 4k rpm's, did you hook up a pressure gauge? |
it was on a dyno being tuned and my buddy put on ear muffs and could hear the knock from not getting fuel in the combustion chamber past 4000rpms.

The old ear dyno, almost as good as the butt dyno. lol

Actually, I'd rely more on the butt dyno for monitoring gas flow! lol

we found a kink in the fuel line from the back of the fuel filter that goes to the fuel tank and think that it is the reason for the lack of fuel. at the same time i am replacing the fuel pump with a 255lph pump even though the one inside the tank now is only 2 years old.
