hi im new to this forum but i wanna no if any one has put a nos kit on bone stock v6. i have a 1993 v6 that i was thinkin about putting a nos kit on it and going to the track and playin around with it. if so what all do i have to do and what would be the best kit to do it with

 

youll prolly get better response in the nitrous superchagers and turbo section

Things to do before nitrous:

Make sure your engine is in GREAT shape, well maintained and I wouldn't do nitrous on a high mileage engine...
Intake (remove stock intake and use cold air intake style tubing with a performance air filter)
Exhaust (headers, high flow cat or remove cat, cat-back)

Then I would run a 50 shot, maybe 75 shot

and please for the love of god, it's nitrous, not nawwwwwwws (NOS)...NOS is a brand of nitrous, there are many lower priced brands out there

Ha, glad someone else thinks the same that I do. I'm hearing more and more kids saying that they're going to put NAWS in their cars and when I correct them by saying its Nitrous they try to correct me. I even had one kid in a ricer say that its NOS because he has seem The Fast and The Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, and Tokyo Drift and he has never heard it be called Nitrous just NAWS....LMAO.

And Chappie I just seen your quote and I thought it was freakin hilarious, got this mental picture of some poor guy in a ford broke down in like 100 degree weather and some guys driving past him in a Camaro laughing at the poor old ****er and then later on down the road saying that....I'd laugh just because he shoulda bought a Chevy

 

i agree with the NAWS thing, but didnt the company NOS name it NOS for "Nitrogen Oxide System" ? and thats what adding nitrous to your car is: adding a nitrogen oxide system... but yea, there is like 20 some odd brands of Nitrous out there, and i too, have had people say it isnt nitrous, it's NOS, although i usually call it NOS myself, just first -word- that comes to mind.

I have a 95 camaro 3.4 v6and I've got most of the nitrous components for it. Waiting on bottle brackets and solenoids. When I get it installed I'll let you know how it goes.

 

I have the same problem with people refering to all brands of facial tissue as "Kleenex"
