my rear is leaking. its the pinion seal i think, but it started to make a noise and the oil was real low so if i change the seal and fill it back up will the noise go away or do i need to get a new differential thanks for your time.

 

replace your pinion seal, its a little annoying you have to make a tool usually. but you dotn need a new differential unless you have wrecked the diff by running it for an extended period of time with no lube.

 

what do you mean make a tool? and will it still make the noise?
