Default My new 2000 V6

Hey, so I just got me a 2000 V6 camaro. 3.8L. I didnt really kno how fast it was supposed to be, since I have never been into american cars.
Just imports for awhile.

The car has 92,XXX miles.

Everyone who has road in it has been suprised by how quick it is. I can do 95 in 3rd gear easily. arond 70 in second.

The car will lay parallels on the blacktop no problem, and throw you sideways if you hit it rite if you are getting on it and shift to second hard.

The car seems stock, no visual mods on the engine. My question is, is it normal for a newer V6 to be quick like it is? Could somethign be done to it that I dont kno about? I dont think anyone would do internals on it since it is lower milage. The guy I got it from didnt have it a long long time, just since it had 83,XXX miles. I dunno who had it before him so I cant find out. Anything to look for?

Also, did racing stripes and body stripes(on the side, at the bottom) come stock on a V6 in 2000? Mine is red with black racing stripes. 5 Speed

lol 110mph in 3rd isnt good on the engine but still can be done. And my limiter is at 116mph lol I hit it the other nite and I was locked down at 116mph @ 3400rpm in 5th.

Btw nice car there 98' hope you enjoy your Maro as much as we do BTW a good place to check out for all the Sixer Maro's is http://forum.camarov6.com/index.php It's alot more indepth and has alota Tech stuff and mod info on the 3.8L.

Hey welcome to American Muscle! Even if it is only a V6, they are much faster then thoes suped up four-bangers. Imports look nice though. I have a 2000 V6 and love it! Keep that baby tuned buddy, a tune up will run you about $100, but its worth it! As far as being able to keep up with some V8s, maybe, if u take care of it. To my knowlege racing stripes didnt come stock. Ony on V8s. But people do it and im thinking of getting some for my car. NICE RIDE MAN! Love the rims.
