Why would you want to run an LS1 throttle body? Your's is more than plenty. All I could find was one for the supercharged 3.8. http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...=256&catid=113

Your TB is more than enough for any kind of power you're going to make NA or even with a decent turbo. I know many people running turbos at 15 PSI on the stock TB with no problems making almost 500 hp so... Basically, don't waste your money.

If you have a SS hood on your car with the stock intake box, you are not achieving any ram air affect, even if the hood is "functional."

I'm not even talking about the ram air part... I'm talking about the LS1 TB lol. There's no way it benefits any set up on a 3800. You're actually probably hurting because intake velocity would be WAY down so you'd negate any "RAM AIR" effects if ram air actually worked lol.

dude id be better cause i have a 2000+ intake. if i used that intake with a straight bore plus a ls1 tb id be able to use smooth bellows and it would be just a nicer setup. no muss no fuss

The SS hood has the scoop pushed back, away from the air intake, the hood adds no ram air affect if you have the stock intake box.
