Default a little help?

i have a 94 3.4L that i got about 2 months ago and its my first car and i dont know much about fixing cars but anyway about 2 weeks ago i was driving then relized my blinkers weren't working inside or out then found out later that none of my lights were working so i replaced some fuses and now when i try to replace the fuse for my blinkers i start the car and it blows. i know i have a short but does anyone know where to look for it?
also my car makes a very annoying noise and i was told that it was the sheild over the cat. convertor was loose. did anyone have this problem before or think that this is the problem

If its a rattling noise then it might be ur heat shields. I wouldn't worry about it too much though

The heat shields just need a couple spot welds -- my shop did it for me a year ago free when I was in for an oil change...

just cut it off and save yourself some $$$$$. It really serves no purpose.Either that or you can go to your local hardware store, go to the plumbing section, get the biggest hose clamp they have and wrap it around your CAT tighten it up and it should stop the noise.

Yeah, the heat shield on the cat of my 2000 3.8 was rattling too. I tried squeezing it on harder with vise-grips I think. Suffice it to say I just took it off, and no more rattle. Just don't park over any dry grass or anything like that which can come in direct contact wtih your cat when its hot.

well i looked underneath and saw that the cat was actually tight then looked over my muffler and there is a peice of metal above it that is tightened on the right side and the left is broke and the peice is loose so im gonna go with that is my rattling noise.
