i just bought a 93 3.4 camaro auto, it runs ok but im going to change the engine to a rebuilt 3.4

i plane to go all out with the rebuild but would a NA 3.4 be worth it if i build it right? i could go turbo also

what kind of hp would it make?

and is it worth it to swap to a manual trans also?

 

Thanks for not wanting advise on swapping to a V8! This engine does not really have much potential, but some have made good numbers with it. CHeck out the Firebird in the Making the 3.4L breath easier thread. Now that has a turbo and ALOT of modifications, not exactly sure how he did it but the guy pulled 330HP out of the 3.4L

Keep your tranny how your car came. Just trust me and the rest of us here when we say it is just as complex as swapping engines if not more so.

The only thing about the 93 is that you have to go to some extent to tune the car (megasquirt etc). You can see my 93 build thread stickied at the top of v6 tech section if you wanna get some ideas.

 

yeah i read over that whole thread, it was a great build and ill probably do most of the exact same stuff, ill post pics tomorrow, the cars not to bad IMHO

 

there she is, does anyon know what kind of rims those are in the pic? not the ones on the back, im goin to buy different ones but if i just have to buy 2 it would b great, they are missing center caps too
