Default Intake Questions

I have a stock 2001 v6 camaro and I am thinking of upgrading the intake. the Upgrades I am thinking about are...

-Ram Air by Fast Toys Performance or SLP
-Air Box Lid by FTP or SLP
-Hoses by K&N
-possibly a Throttle Body by BBK

I am wondering if anyone has make these modifications to their 3.8 or if anyone has any advice.

A few specific questions I have are

-Will the air box lids rub on the bottom of my hood?
-What size are the hose attachments on the air box lids and throttle body?
-Is it bad to get rid of the Resonator in the stock intake system?
-is it ok to mix brands or should I stick with one brand for everything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get a complete kit from the same people so you will be sure everything fits toghether, and make sure it is pulling cold air from the outside of the engine compartment.
You don't need a bigger throttle body, the one you have is plenty big.
The resonator only kills intake noise and does nothing to power. However if you get rid of it, the extra noise will make you think the engine is more powerful.

Thanks for the input. Do you know if the air box lid for a v8 is a different size than one for a v6? they all say they are for 8's
