That was part of ....ok the biggest reason of why I went with a cap , sorta eliminated the oh **** moment potential. That and the fact the pad is basically a thin piece of plastic that had sat who knows how long in direct sunlight for 13 years. I couldnt see how it would do anything but break. So why make it any worse? Just left it alone put a cap over it all is good!
