Idle and misfire problem
The gaskets on my 3800 lower intake plenum and upper intake were both replaced because they were leaking fluid. Afterwards the car started but made a loud clicking noise. This noise was normal i thought because it has made the noise randomly for quite some time, but after it warmed up it would go away. It ran for a day, but then on the way home, it died in the middle of traffic. It somehow started but made it sound like i had a huge cam in it, and it is apparently misfiring and backfiring through the TB. I have no clue what it is, and weve already taken it apart and put it all back together after it died. Here is the video.

sounds like a stuck exhaust valve. take the valve covers off and see what u find. the oil pressure sensor should be whats at the filter.

Or far from it>? |
no doesnt sound like injector. u would have funky idle but not the poping and clicking.

Anyone else?

clicking noise?
a clicking noise after start up before it was warmed up? after an intake leak, could be the engine bearings. was it knocking or ticking, before it died an the intersection?
|
have u checked under the valve covers to see if any of the valves are stuck/not moveing or lose rocker arms. really sounds like its sucking through the intake and exhaust.
