Default Idle bounces

I have a 96 camaro rs 3.8l and at idle it bounces from 1000-1500 rpms but it runs fine when not at idle it has a multiple cylinder misfire code and a maf sensor low input code not sure what it is any thoughts

Maf needs to be clean with maf cleaner. And when was the last tune up? Might be time for new plugs wires and coils.

I think if you fix the MAF problem the bouncing idle and misfire will probably go away. The PCM expects to see a certain amount of air to be going throgh the MAF for what the engine is doing. However, the output voltage of the MAF (input voltage low) is lower than expected, indicating that less air flow than actual. The PCM adjusts the air fuel ratio to what the MAF is reporting by making the A/F ratio leaner. Because the MAF is lying the engine is now running lean resulting in random misfire. Check all the MAF connections & make sure the MAF is clean.

Also change the pcv valve. It's about $5 and will help with the wacky idle.

Replace your pcv valve and clean your maf. If it was recently replace then try getting it warrentied.

If you think the MAF is good, then take a good look at all the connectors and wiring. Also make sure there are no air leaks from the MAF to the throttle valve. Any air bypassing the MAF will cause the low voltage. May also want to look at the IAC valve, which controls the idle speed.

Yea I guess I'll have to smoke test it to see if anything leaking from the throttle body
