Default Hypertech Programing

I just bought a Hypertech Programmer for my 2000 Camaro (3.8L) automatic transmission and I would like to know if any one else has done this wit their car. I would like some information on what is the best shift points for myautomatic transmissionand what percent is best for the transmission firmness ? I looked at the Hypertech website and didn't find much information. Thanx in advance

Shift past red line cuz it can handel it and then if you like firm shifts, max it out.

Be careful not to set the shift points past the rev limiter, because it will never shift gears at WOT. That engine really does nothing past 6000 RPM, except make more noise, unless you made some major mods.

WOT= wide open throttle=pedal to the metal.
You have some good useful mods which increase torque, but do not change the point at which the engine peaks, so when you rev it too high the heads and cam still restrict the power output, so you want to shift to the next gear before that happens.

You can change them, but make sure that you don't set them higher than the speed limiter. Actually you may stay about 200 RPM lower than the limiter. You can also chenge the limiter setting, but you run the risk of engine damage.
