heres my guess.. keyword GUESS.. (then again I don't really know) would be anywhere from 300-350, maybe a little closer to 300. I would really get another opinion before just trusting me on it though, Im just curious how close I am.

guess: 250-300 rwhp...lots of factors to include tho

and i wouldn't consider supercharger 'alittle'

Nooffense, any time someone gets a Camaro they think of about 5-10 modsthat they say they're doing and ask how much hp will result in it. For most people, those mods aren't a "done over one summer" list of mods. Supercharging is not a minor thing at all. Any time you're doing forced induction, especially a turbo or supercharger, it's going to cost a lot and take a long time to get installed. In our case, the only supercharger you can buy for this car cost $3,500 on the low end and requires expert setup. They claim that gives you 45% increase. 45% of 200 (stock hp) is 90. That puts you at 290hp. Which of course assumes you will be boosting the recommended 6psi, if you do more than that you will have to reinforce all of your engine internals, which will cost you thousands.

Next up, headers and exhaust. I'm assuming you're speaking of more than just catback with headers, which would include the high flow cat and piping. This should cost you about $1,200 - $1,500 total with installation at most places (at least in my area). All of that would give you about 25hp. (mufflers typically give you 10hp, cat 5hp, and headers 10-15hp)

As for the posi rear end, I don't see that giving you any more horsepower, but will cost at least a thousand, probably quite a bit more. 200hp stock + 90hp supercharger + 25hp exhaust puts you at 315hp. That brings new problems now. The transmissions that come in these 3.8 Fbodys aren't made to handle the torque you would be putting out. I have no clue how to add or calculate torque but I'm positive you would have more than 330 and that would rip your transmission's *** once you reach 3500rpms.

I support anyone trying to put the 3.8 on the scene, as I'm trying to do the same. However, bro, it takes a lot more time and money then most people think. Good luck and keep us updated.

your being generous...first, our 3.8 cars have 160-170 rwhp (the only kind of hp that matters), next full bolt ons (exhaust/intake/ignition) will give you a rough 20 or so rwhp

and yes...you cant bolt on a supercharger, takes lots of time/work/money

No, at the rear wheels, the 3.8 Camaro has 200hp and 225 torque. As for the exhaust, magnaflow tells you the hp gain on the specific muffler I have, is 10hp. Pretty precise, numbers actually, I do a lot of research to buy the best parts.

200hp/225tq is NOT at the the wheels. 160-170rwhp is what the 3.8 puts out...do some more research

a muffler most likely will not add 10 rwhp. The full flowmaster catback system has seen up to 10 rwhp on the dyno, but in general, that would be a generous estimate

200/225 is off the engine block, 160/170 is from the rear wheels. badinfluence is correct, you can check the GM specs in the sticky section .

If you use all that cash from yourmods, sell your 3.8, and buy an LT1/LS1 your LT1/LS1 stock is probably close to your 3.8 all modded.
