Default help please

Hey everybody. I was looking to buy a 1999 Camaro with the 3.8L V6 engine. The car seems to be working fine but I noticed that when I turned my headlights on, the dash lights turned off. Can anybody help me with this and should I still buy it?

depends on how much money they want. are they willing to find the probelm and fix it before the sale? so the dash lights came on and then went off? did you try and adjust them to see if it was a bad switch, which it most likely is.

Electrical can be some hard work. Unless you are really good with electrical or know someone that is, it can be expensive. if your getting this car, make sure the price is right.

sounds like a fair deal. check the oil for any coolant, pressure test coolant system, maybe have compression test done.

Sounds like the BCM or a blown headlight relay. Unless the car is in good shape you could have a ground problem too. I hope you're getting a good deal on the car!
