Help??? New to Cars to
Well I have a '95 Camaro and I'm new to this tech stuff. I've changed the oil a couple of times in different cars. Dont bang on me, but how do you find out if its a 3.4 or 3.8. Another thing, what is there that I couldthrow in it cheaply to get a little more power.
Thanks,

The guys are right, its probably a 3.4. As for performance, a good tune up goes a long way as does cleaning the throttle body out. You could go with a cold air intake or an open element air filter from auto zone and remove the air filter box. Gutting out the cat gets you a little bit as well (Oh crap, I hope that hell from the other thread does not rain down on me ) as does a performance exhaust system.
Keep in mind, it is a v-6, its never gonna run like a v-8 without a ton of cash dumped into it. Get her running good and enjoy the good gas mileage

You will know if it's a 3.4L if you see a Y-shaped intake plenum and the spark plug wires lead to a coil pack that sits on the upper front of the engine.
If you got one of those rare(ish) 3.8L/auto KKKalifornia-only 95 F-bodies, then congrats.
No cheap way to get power from a 3.4L, anyway. Not when the heads and intake manis are the weakspot.
