RE: help with gears!
I've got 4.10s, they aren't too bad on the road. I'm still learning how to launch properly, so my times suck, but they are a nice gear. The only weird parts is getting used to going through the lights deep in 4th gear. Is this going to be a daily driver, with a little bit of racing, or a lot of racing, with a little bit of driving?

Mines a daily driver too, so a 4.10 would be ok if you don't mind a little extra noise on the highway. It really isn't as bad everyone would think. Maybe a 3.90?

I have 3.90's in my car and I LOVE THEM. The noise you guys are talking about is the gear whine. It is normal and not that bad just turn your radio up till u get used to it. I have a v8 and with a m6 at 60 i pull ~1500 rpms. With stock ratios it was 1200 rpms. I haven't noticed a bit off difference in the mpg. I have noticed a huge difference in the accelaration. Remember if you change your gears your speedometer and odometer will be off invest in a programmer to change your ratio to make all that read right. Hope this helps.

RE: help with gears!
If your car is a auto and you spend a lot of time driving i would go 3.73s. If you dont mind the price of fuel then the 4.10s are not that bad. If your driving a 5 speed car i would say go with 4.10s. And if you have any plans to go M6 or T56 go with the 4.10s
