when i start my car it idles fine but when i put it in drive or reverse the rpms jump up and the car wants to take off by its self and then its way down and sometimes it kills, then when i give it gas it bogs and then takes off fast again, it only does this when the engine is cold. does any one know what the problem could be.

 

this same exact thing happened with my girlfriends jeep grand cherokee, its a transmission problem, get it checked out, i dont know anything besides it being a tranny problem

yeah but it comes and goes the last time i had the codes read it said i had a bad throttle position sensor, so thats probly it
