Having trouble with my '94 Camaro
 

So my camaro has crapped out on me. I went to go start it but it wont start. Thought it could be the battery which it was, sort of.

The battery was completely dead, so we went and bought a new one and it still wont start

It doesn't make any ticking noise or any noise when i try and start it, and when the keys are not in the car and the battery is connected, it makes a dinging noise in the car.

Kind of like if you leave your lights on when you turn the car off but the lights aren't on and the sound is a different tempo. (ding ding......ding ding.......ding ding) and the hazards are blinking even though they aren't on.

We tried taping the starter while turning it on but didn't do anything.


If anyone has an idea of what to try or do that would be great.

Since the car doesn't start i can't bring to a mechanic and i don't have AAA paid to have it towed

pull the starter and bring it to the parts store have them test it

Also check the alternator -- why did the battery die? Likely an alternator that was not charging the battery...

Any check engine lights? If so, also get it scanned.
