Gauge questions on new-to-me 2000 3.8
I just got a 2000 3.8 with T-tops to replace my wrecked 01 and it came with a few goodies. Headers, Borla cat back, high flow cat, new brakes rotors and calipers, whisper air box lid, short throw, kenwood stereo, and finally gauges by Auto Meter, oil temp and Air fuel. The gauges are what I have questions on. The oil temp works great but the air fuel is just sitting there. the original owner was told that hooking it up would mess with the computer and cause problems when readings needed to be taken. I have looked around and found a DPIC that I thought I could use but Im not sure if that would have the same problem. Is it true that plugging the Air Fuel in will cause problems and If so are there any other gauges for a pillar set up that would work?
