lol, I got to play with those too, welcome to my world. I didn't mark them, I just stomped on them and threw them in the scrap metal pile.

sorry to ask a question in your thread but does anybody know how pulling the heat sheild that covers the starter would affect it,would it totaly toast it, or is it there just for looks probily a stupid question, but i really dont think it will ruin it cause my 73 dosent have one and i havent had a problem.

Thanks ahead
Tony

Yeah I threw all my heat shields out when I dropped a new engine.

Are you all soft? They are there for a reason. They keep your G.D floor boards from heating up which reduces the temp inside the car. So remove them and enjoy the heat dumba$$!

lol, wrong heat shields. The ones on the manifolds make doing anything on the engine rediculous, and they can't be put on the headers.

Tony, do you have the heat shield for your starter? I would but it back. If you don't, maybe do a starter wrap from summit racing. The starter won't last as long when it's exposed to that much heat, the one in my jeep had a big problem with getting hot.
