faulty gas gauge
#11
Mine's been inaccurate since I bought it back in '01. I just make sure I put gas in it when the odometer shows around 215 miles. With the history of these fuel pumps, I try not to let the tank get any lower than that. I suppose I can continue living with the faulty gauge. It sounds like I'm not alone. LOL

My 96 does this too. I hit the gas station at a quarter tank. Its inconveniant to sat the least. The wife always drives till empty on her daily driver and ran the camaro bone dry last time out. I was not amused, especially since the car ran out on me.
Im in the process of undercoating the underside, so Im going to replace the sending unit once I drop the tank. I hope that will cure the goofy gas gage

this might be a blast from the future but i just replaced the whole module (fuel pump and sender) and it still didn't fix the problem. my 96 is currently residing in my drive way with absolutely no gas in the tank and the gauge showing that i have a little less than a 1/4 of a tank. and im scared to try and mess with it because some how my last fuel pump found a way to burn up. sooo i have a big red paper weight with a built in radio if anybody needs one.
