Default Engine Swap!

I'm interested in swapping a LS1 Camaro SS engine on my V6. Is this possible? I'm looking on ebay and finding some ss engines with transmission for about 3000 to 4000 dollars. Is that worth it and how much am I looking at to get it installed cuz I won't be able to do it cuz I'm mechaniclly inclined.

Just buy an SS, the amount of money youll pay in labor not doing it yourself will be astronomical. Its expensive to do yourself, but having a shop does it will make costs even higher. I suppose if you could find the entire front subframe from an SS suspension ECU tranny and all it wouldnt be extremely difficult, but the chances of that are slim/none. I guess a good thing to do would be take the value of your car now, add that to how much you will/are willing to spend on the swap, and compare it to the price of an SS or Z28, whichever is lower would be your best bet.

I wouldn't do it. Yes, it's possible, but it's going to be expensive as heck.

Just so you know, the phrase 'mechanically inclined' means you know what you are doing, and would be able to do it.
