i recentaly got a 96 rs and i need to know if it came with keyless entry if so where can i get a new remote

I believe it depends. At my dealership all new cars come with two keys and two remotes. With used cars it varies. i dont think remotes were standard back in the 90s but who knows if whoever bought your car first ordered it with a remote or got one with the package.

 

If it has the car alarm it has remote entry, look in the passenger rear fender well, under the panel that covers your spare tire. There should be a little black box with a few wires running to it and a little red light on it.

One other (perhaps easier) way to check is to look for the options sticker (mine's on my driver's door - yours may be elsewhere).

If you see "AU0" there (probably on the first line), it had keyless entry from the factory.
