Do I have to replace a broken heater hose?
My heater hose has a leak, and have been trying to find it in a junk to no avail. So the question is can I run w/o repairing it if I don't use the heater? And is there anyone who has done a makeshift repair on a leak that lasted at least a week?
It's quite expensive to buy the whole assy, any other suggestion are welcome as well, Thanks a lot, Sachi |
here is the process for a lt1, i believe the hoses are retained the same for the base model. 4th Gen LT1 F-body Heater Hose R&R
if nothing else you can run a length of heater hose from the outlet to the inlet, usually from water pump to the intake/engine. backtrack the hoses to where they come from and run hose from one to the other... if that makes sense. |

V6fixit.com sells the kit
Or you can just get the adapters form ebay around $30 then buy to 3' hoses 1 5/8 and 1 3/4, then junk the stock crap. Here's a view mineAttachment 13668 |
