I know K&N is the best brand but on ebay there are so many different kinds. I have a 1996 3.8 5 speed camaro. Whats the best intake i can get for 100-200$? Thanks

DO NOT get an ebay CAI!!! Just use a drop-in K&N Filter in your stock Air Box. Your air intake system is great. Don't smuther it with an ebay CAI...

 

i thought the ebay ones weren't very good. i remember ready music mans thread and him saying that he's ebay one restricted the engine more then the stock. The k&n one would still be better tho.

i know its for the v8 but im sure it would fit on the v6 aswell.

 

That intake will only fit the 5.7 and 3.4 Camaro's. It will not fit the 3800 motor. What he needs to do it just get a K&N drop-in replacement filter. The stock intake system for the 3800 is great. I'm not even sure that K&N makes a full intake for the 3800. Just the filter as far as I know.

 

The stock intake system for the 98+ was really good but the 96-97 not so much. I would not trust that Evilbay intake system. I remember reading a thread around here somewhere that had the how to on modding the K&N system to fit the early 3800. If I can find it I will let you know. It was a white car that had the mod and there are like 8 posts of pics in the beginning of the thread.
