Cat back exhaust- where and how much$$$
I am just wondering how much the garages/custom exhaust shops in your locations are getting for cat back exhaust systems..I am in Northern MA and for a Magna Flo Cat back system its costing about $450. kinda steep. That is the going rate for the 6 or so shops.

murrays or autozone can order you aftermarket performance parts...
I buy all my stuff online and install myself...
like 8er said, if you buy the cat-back meant for your car, it's an easy install

450 for installation is actually pretty good, i'd go for magna flow tho, and advance auto or auto zone should be able to get that for bout 440, then you just gotta try to get under the car lol.

about 10 years ago I had a complete system on my 81 Trans Am done from headers back. True duals to two flowmaster mufflers and orig Trans Am tips..I think I paid $250.. Amazing how much the price has changed in a decade. The $$$$$ they are making off of us is crazy.

If my stock exhaust rusts out, I am thinking about the TFX Kat-Back system jcwhitney.com sells for $260, which is custom fit for a '99 3800.
I used a number of JCWhitney items when I restored a '74 Corvette years ago, including the exhaust, and was satisfied with everything except the torque converter which didn't fit.
