Camaro vs Grand Prix

Yeah I guess Grand Prixs or at least the supercharged engine just shifts a lot smoother (or at least mine did). When the guy bought my car he said he was looking at GTP's for 6 months and mine was the nicest condition he had seen and that it felt like it had never been run. You said yours used to shift real smooth and then you changed it? Why? I mean I wouldn't mind if this was a v8, but like I said I don't feel like I have any real power with this car, at least not yet, so I would prefer smoother shifting. I don't care too much as long as this is normal.

Mine was a Z28, but still the same model trans as you have. It shifted too smooth for my liking. I like the harder, firmer shifts, but that's just me.

I just drove around a little right now and did what you said to check RPMs. I guess the shifting is normal, maybe the rest of what I was talking about such as the lack of power or weird sounding engine is just normal too but since this is my first Camaro and IMO a downgrade from what I had I was just worrying for nothing? I hope this is the case at least. Thanks for all your help.
