Default Air Box Mod

So I'm sure this is covered somewhere on here put the search didn't bring anything up. I want to get rid of the plastic piece between the air box and the intake on my 99. The one that is big and bulky. Just wondering what has worked for people in the past. I see it needs to go from a oval shape to a round shape.

are you talking about the piece that covers the intake, the one that the CAI pipe runs through to the filter?

That is just an air silencer, it isn't restricting anything, its just ugly. You can use fernco from your local hardware store if you want to remove it.

Fernco Huh? Not suer I know what that is but I will find out. I think the best option is to just buy a new lid and tube. Maybe from SLP.
