Well it appears to have been a weak radiator cap. Before when it would heat up the hoses still felt soft, like nothing was in them. now they feel stiff when its up to temperature. Drove it for about 30 miles or so and didnt have any issues or anything so I am gonna say that everything is now working correctly.
