Default 94 3.4 problems

My buddy has a 1994 RS with the 3.4 in it, while driving home from work the car bogged down and the cat converter overheated and was cherry red. after getting the cat replaced the car now will sometimes not start, and once started it runs very rough and very rich. we replaced the camshaft sensor, the o2 sensor, and the fuel pump was recently replaced as well.
please dont give me the 'newb' treatment, im doing a search as well. any info would be helpful. thanks

Try spraying some throttle body cleaner into where the air intake enters, plugs & wires, fuel filter...

Also could be your air temp sensor...

The reason the cat overheated is because too much raw fuel was getting dumped into it. Apparently the engine is running excessively rich. Could be a fuel injection problem, especially the pressure regulator, an injector stuck open, ignition misfire, or as previously mentioned, a bad sensor. Get the car scanned & look for active and retained codes, and point you in the right direction.

Clean the injectors with the Lucas Injector Cleaner... may need a few treatments...
