400 small block swap

i got a buddy thats got a 400 small block he's gettin rid of, could i put this in a 98 v6? how hard if possible would it be and what would i need to do

a lot of custom stuff...and probably not worth it bc alot of old small blocks are not as powerful as you think

its a new crate engine, he bought it and put it in his pick up truck, and took it out a couple of weeks ago

what are the specs on it? A crate engine to stock standards?

Just making sure your not swaping a 175hp dawg...

but regardless, it will seriously be alot of headaches and custom stuff

Lets just say you might as well buy a new car with a big *** engine, cus to modify everything to accomidate a 400 small block would cost you big time.

It can be done, but I wouldn't do. You will have a lot of clearance problems with the distributor, as the engine is going to be stuffed half way under the windshield.
