I just bought a 2001 camaro with the 3800 engine but for some reason it has the z28 badges so the question is did somebody just put them on the car or is it possible that somebody mightve swapped the engine out

 

Someone put the badges on. Check teh VIN out if you want to confirm it was originally a v6.

 

That'd be a LOT of work just to downgrade the motor.

 

Yep, the VIN will tell all. Look at the eighth digit. K=v6, G=v8 (Z28)

 

Cool ill just check the vin then I was pretty sure someone just put em on just wanted to be sure ill be taking the badges off too then if its not or never was a z28 I don't see why someone woud put em on in the first place

 

didnt you know... its the badge that makes the z28 fast and not the engine

get rid of the v6 (or maybe a normal font) and thats a decent badge
