3.4L Changing Thermostat Inquiry

I've never changed a thermostat in my 3.4L and I would like some advice from people who have done it. In the repair manual that I have they make it sound so simple, but when I pop the hood there is a lot of "stuff" in the way. Or if you could direct me to a post that has already covered this. Any help would be most appreciated.

i replaces mine and it wasnt that hard i just used a socket wrench on the outside screw and a socket wrench with a swivel for the inside screw and it didnt take very long at all...

Its a really big ***** its a 10 mm if i can remember but the intake is soooo in the way on the right hand side. I just used a swivle socket and got that ***** out after a while. Its alot more easier after you done it a couple of times. but trust me the damn spark plugs are even *****ier especially on the passengers side

its really not as hard as people think. two bolts both of which i got off with a standard ratchet. i will try to post a pic later where the thermostat is located. and i would suggest flushin ur radiator with a hose while u have the thermostat out...really clean out ur engine then install the new one and fill er back up with some good quality coolant.

OLD THREAD IS OLD!

Refer to a Haynes or Chiltons... I'm sure there's a picture in them somewhere.
