I'm curious has anyone tried or attempted to replace the stock throttle bodyto aftermarket one ??? I was thinking to try it and see the effect of an double barrel 58mm bbk can do for me, if I can get it to fit in.. Well I'm going to figure it sooner or later, LOL... Well anyone with answer, please help me out...

 

You can use the TB from a chevy 4.3. It is huge and can be made to fit with a little work. Aside from that, it is a waste of time and money uless your engine is heavily modified and needs more air than the stock TB provides.

 

Yea, it an waste of time... but while I have time to build it up for racing at kil-kare , ( thats ohio track )... Can't have an 3.4 v6 camaro look bad at the track..
Other camaro might throw stuff at me and boo me off the track , LOL..
Summer time it should be ready...

As badly as the heads and intake flow on the 3.4L, the 50MM TB is way more than adequate for the job.

Of course, if you just have not mentioned your aluminum heads/intake swap yet, then the stock TB may not be enough in that case. I think an LT1 TB unit can be made to fit in that case.

Well I was looking into it, and for the 3.8's I found Edelbrock's You'll need a new Carb, but they claim the stock 200hp increase to about 260hp.
