3.4 boosting question
I'm going to boost this 3.4, but I notice that some people leave their stock manifold when about to turbo( did I miss spell that, oh well ,lol) maybe I getthat aftermarket headers or get that wierd aftermarketheader that looks like an can or an tube, are you getting me ???
I'm just curious about this one, but anyone ran into this before ???
I wish that one guy didn't left that knew everything about 3.4, = -P

RE: 3.4 boosting question
You need a special header or some sort of adapter to connect theengine exhaustto the turbo. Really does not make much difference what it looks like as long as it stays toghether. Light gauge steel does not last very long under that sort of heat. Most factory turbo installations mount the turbo on a cast iron manifold for durability. The 3.4 will stand up to about 18PSI boost before suffering internal damage. And after all that work you are looking at about 270HP. Had a turbo Grand Prix with a 3.1 version of your engine & blew the bottom end out.
