Default 3.4-3.8?

Ive got a buddy that wants to swap out his 3.4 for a 3.8 the question is will any 3800 fit or does it have to be a 60 degree out of a 98-02 camaro? I'mtold him that i though you would have to be just to get the tranny linedup and all. You can't put Fwd engines into Rwd. was i right?

you couldnt do it without alot of fabrication. it wouldnt be no drop it in and done deal thing. y doesnt he jus swap for a V8 instead of the 3.8L.

because he has a 5-speed and in order to drop in a v8 that means new transmission too The 5 speeds in these cars dont handle the torque that a LT1 has

i replaced all the main stuff (plugs, wires, water pump, thermostat, ect...). i tore my motor down and pulled it out and had the block sent off to be resurfaced. i replaced alot of stuff on my motor. my dad owns a machine shop so i had him resurface the motor so im not sure how much it would be to have that done. my car is also a 5spd. so i had a high performance clutch put in as well.
