I am not sure how long a 3.1 is going to last making that amount of power. Two years ago my son and I stumbled on 3.1 Turbo Grean Prix at a tractor repair shop in upstate NY. The car was in fairly good shape, and after getting it to run right we decided to get some real power out of it. Got the boost up to 20lb, right fuel mix, and computer tuned. Car went pretty good, getting trap speeds of over 100, then it broke a rod and the whole engine granaded. Keeping in mind that when the factorry assembled these cars, all parts including the block were hand selected to be the best available.

well, im sure it will make a car scream, but i would rather take that money, and look in a junkyard for 350 or so n.

Making the same power, a 350 will definetily be more reliable than 3.1, and less expensive. A turbocharged 3.1, assuming it holds togheter, might surprise some unexpecting people.

yea i looked at a Turbo Grand Prix to fix up, but to fix what was wrong with it would have costed over 3k....rare parts on those cars. the popular thing to do with them is pull the turbo and put it on the Z24's

Yeah, I don't think I want to go that route again. Parts too expensive, and sometimes not available.
