Hey, I need a new thermostat for my 98 rs. Is it 180 or 195 degrees? I looked it up and got opposing answers.

 

195 is OEM. If you put the 180 in you could have computer issues and a CEL saying your engine cannot reach operating temp. This is bad since it leaves the engine in open loop which could cause damage to your Cat, and O2 sensors. Also you dont get the full power or economy your car is capable of in open loop.
