1994 camaro 3.4liter timing chain mark alignment WONT START HELP!!!
I have a 1994 3.4L camaro that will not start after storing for winter. It is backfiring through the exhaust.I have replaced both crank sensers, cam senser put a used ignition module(getting spark)coils and ecm with no
luck.Because of the backfiring through exhaust I took off the timing cover and it looks to have not jumped time,I was told that the crank keyway should be at 11:00 position and the cam (dowel pin) at 3:00 IS THIS CORRECT!!!I also understand this is a interference motor is this true.I did a compression test has a steady 215lbs on each cylinder which seems good.My next step is to put new gears, chain and tensioner(broke
on corner seems common). The car has roughly 80,000 miles on it and has recently had new fuel pump installed(good fuel pressure)I have been told that bad injectors can make them act like this so when I get it back together I am going to take off the top plenum and check them and also signal. IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT,MAYBE SOMETHING I'M OVERLOOKING...THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
