Default 1993 camaro 3.4 problem HELP!!!

just bought a 93 camaro that ran fine. now i have a ticking noise on top of the motor where the intake plenum and fuel injectors are. it lacks power and pops like a backfire in the air intake tube.

Please help im 16 and would love to drive my Camaro.

Check all of your fluids and make sure your oil is good, the ticking couldl be your rockers not getting enought lube or needind adjusted.

Try to isolate the noise. Use a 3ft stick or hose against your ear, and probe around with the other end where the noise seems to be coming from & get a fix on its location.

Sensors do not make noise.
Is the check engine lite lit? If it is, get the computer scanned & see what the code is, or being that your car is a 93, you can flash the codes yourself.

Have you isolated the noise there is a sesnsor on te back right of the plenum(green). This regulates the fuel to air mixture, isf it is unplugged or loose it can cause the car to go rich or lean adn even stall, it can cause a loss of power but usually causes misfires, pops, and stalling. Is this the type of thing going on? This happened to my engine but with no ticking. This is at least worth checking. Also more information on the sounds and location would be of use.

i have not isolated the noise but the sensor was in tight. What is the name of the sensor,so i can get it checked out? its causing identical problems that your engine had and the ticking went away.
