Torque spec for differential cover
Anybody know the torque spec for the differential cover on muy 2002 V-6 Camaro? The Clymer manual ain't giving it up and I have searched many posts to no avail.

I don't think there is an actual number for it. My Haynes manual doesn't have it either. I just hand tightened mine and then "snug" them up with a ratchet.

As long as the gasket is sealing fine, you should be good

I don't use a gasket or torque wrench. RTV gasket maker, snug the bolts, then button them down a little more once the RTV sets up.

That works too. I used a both but only a real thin layer of gasket maker just so the gasket had less chance of moving. Mine's been holding up for the last few months now. Gonna probably need changed again with all the miles I keep putting on the car.
